Away With Work: What's in my Washbag?

One thing I've learned over the years I've enjoyed reading beauty blogs is that, as a community, we're generally quite a nosy bunch! We love to see what others pack into their handbags, holiday cases etc. That thought inspired me to write today's post.

A few weeks ago, I spent a couple of nights away with work. I was only away two nights but, being a beauty addict, I obviously had a washbag brimming with goodies taking up most of the room in my little flight case.

It's not often I get an evening to myself in a nice cosy hotel room, so I took along some beauty favourites so I could have a little pamper.
Cosmopolitan Hanging/Roll-up Washbag
I've had this beaut literally forever! I bought it in Boots years ago, possibly for my first ever holiday with Adam (which was in 2004...oh heck I feel old!) It's by Cosmopolitan, as in the magazine.

Essentials
First the boring stuff. Toothbrush, mini toothpaste, paracetamol, my pills, a fresh pair of contacts and lens solution.
I wear contacts all the time, I'm basically blind without them! The type I have are monthlies, which I can wear to sleep in as well as when I'm awake. I adore them! I am meant to have rest days to help my eyes stay hydrated, but truth be told I do forget I even wear the lenses so don't do this often enough. I was due a fresh pair during my trip so popped them in my bag. I might do a post about these lenses in future as I really could rave about them!

Philosophy Purity 3-in-1 Cleanser
This little pot came in either a Glossybox or a Pink Parcel (I can never remember which). I plan on reviewing this in a post soon so I won't say too much about it. It was so handy to take away with me as it's a dinky little bottle.

Body Shop Vitamin E Toner
A lovely little mini to help completely clean my skin of makeup after using the purity cleanser. It sounds odd but one of the reasons I like this toner is that it feels quite silky on the skin, it's not just 'watery' if that makes sense.

Caviar Eye Roller Gel
Another Glossybox or Pink Parcel item; it's my current eye product so I popped it in my bag.

Sanctuary Spa Radiance Exfoliator
This was in a gift set I treated myself to in the after-Christmas sales. I use facewash daily but didn't have a mini, so substituted for this whilst I was away.

Body Shop Drops of Youth Sleeping Mask (decanted)
I didn't have a mini nightcream so I decanted some of the lovely Body Shop sleeping mask to use during my trip.

Amie Moisturiser
This one definitely came with Pink Parcel. I've been using this everyday recently as my day moisturiser.

Rimmel Let It Go Eye Makeup Remover
I like to use a separate eye makeup remover to get stubborn mascara off fully, so I decanted some of this to take along with me.

Madara Serum
Another Glossybox item; I've been using this serum daily before my moisturiser and also sometimes at night.

The Body Shop Frosted Apple  Shower Gel, Body Polish and Shimmer Lotion
I took these along as I was trying to use them up plus I knew there'd  be an opportunity for a soak in the hotel bath!

Dove Cream Deodorant
My preferred deodorant; sprays irritate my skin and roll-ons take too long to dry!

Charlie Pink Body Spray
I like to use these as well as the deodorant as I find the deo isn't particularly scented.

Kenzo and Boss perfume samples
I took along a couple of mini perfumes which I got as samples with a Feel Unique order, to save having to lug a big perfume bottle around.

Hope you've enjoyed having a quick nosy in my washbag! I haven't commented much on each item as this was really more of a 'have a nosy' post than a review one. Let me know what your essentials are for a short trip away!
