Let's take a look at February's offering.
What's in the box?
First let's take a moment to appreciate the cuteness of the special design of this month's box: "Love is in the Air"; this month's treat is themed of course around love as February is Valentine's month.
There's a nice little selection of products this month, a few which I probably would not have chosen myself but I'm happy to give a try.
Nicka K New York - 24H Waterproof Eyeliner in Brown
Yay to Glossybox for introducing me to yet another brand I was previously unfamiliar with. As usual, a quick Google told me what I needed to know about Nicka K New York:
"Founded in 1995, in the heart of New York City, Nicka K New York was build on the promise that beautiful makeup should be an essential, attainable part of a woman's everyday life."
An ethos I can wholeheartedly embrace!
The eyeliner is really lovely, it has a sharp pointed tip and is self-sharpening. There's also a smudger on the opposite end, which I really like. I wear brown eyeliner quite often so this will be a nice addition to my collection. I'm impressed by its waterproof quality too - the swatch on my hand (below) needed cleanser to budge, soap and water did not cut it. A thumbs up for this product.
MUA Power Pout Glaze Low Voltage Gloss in Allure
I check out Glossybox's Facebook page regularly, and I have noticed regular comments about MUA being a 'cheap' brand and not 'luxury' enough for the customers. Honestly, I don't really get what the issue is, I'm more than happy to receive MUA in my box. It's a brand I really like and they have some fabulous affordable products.
I seem to recall I was able to choose the shade for this particular product, I vaguely remember being given the option but had pretty much forgotten that had happened. I am really pleased with my choice.
The gloss is in one of those tubes which you need to twist to get the product out (like a Touch Eclat); it takes a good few twists but once it gets going the product distributes well.
Swatched on my hand, the colour is very intense and an orchid purple/berry pink shade. On the lips, it is less intense but you could always build up the colour. It is quite sticky so I wouldn't wear it when there's a storm brewing outside.

Another thumbs up from me for this one. There's also a discount code provided in the box which gets you £5 off a £20 shop with MUA - excuse to go shopping if ever I needed one!
MUA is stocked in Superdrug and can be bought online here.
Naobay Protective Hair Mask Volume Conditioner
Naobay have featured previously in Glossybox and I've always been pleased with their offerings to date. This mask smells quite citrusy but not in an overpowering way; it is zesty and fresh.
I am just about to run out of the last hair mask I received from Glossybox so the timing of this is perfect. I will probably just use this as ordinary conditioner as I'm not really fussed about 'treating' my hair (that's what I did with the last hair mask).
The only thing I don't love about Naobay is the fact that the packaging is so very neutral - I know that sounds picky but the products all look the same! I know it's no effort to read the label but I just think it's nice when it's a bit easier to tell different product types apart.
However, this is another lovely product and I'm really pleased with the timing in particular, it's like Glossybox knew I was running out of my conditioner. Let's also appreciate the size of this bottle!
Check out more from Naobay here.
Wilkinson Sword Intuition Razor
This is one of those razors that has built in shaving gel/soap on the edges of the blades. I had one of these years ago when they first came out, it was ok but not something I was bothered about buying regularly. Honestly, with razors, I can take or leave what type I use. I tend to buy basic cheap ones - truth be told I don't actually have particularly hairy legs (TMI?!) so I don't really need anything super fancy to sort out de-fuzzing.
I will definitely put this razor to use though and see how I get on. I remember from previously that the one I had felt quite chunky and awkward, so I'm not sure how I'll get on this time. We'll see.
An ok product but probably the one I'm least wowed by in this month's box. I forgot to take a photo but it's featured below.
The Vintage Cosmetics Company Floral Slanted Tweezers
If I hadn't just recently bought the new Real Techniques Eyebrow brush kit, which includes two types of tweezers, I might be more excited about this item in the box.
I love the Vintage Cosmetics Company and I'd love to get my hands on some of their products, so I was happy to see the brand in this month's Glossybox. It's just a shame that I don't really need another pair of tweezers right now. I will either keep these just because they look pretty on my dressing table, or I'll pop them into my 'gifts' stash and add them to a friend's birthday or Christmas gift in future (friends, I hope you don't mind my cast offs!)
Although I don't need it, this is a really lovely product and I am pleased to see the brand in Glossybox.
So there you have it, this month's box summarised. As and when I use the products I will be sure to review them on the blog, keep an eye out.
Glossybox also have a limited edition "Spoil me Silly" box on offer at the moment, but I'm opting not to purchase on this occasion as the majority of the items that I've seen from the selection are things I don't need or won't have use for (I can be sensible sometimes!)
Let me know what you thought of this month's box.
