What's Inside...Glossybox March 2016?

I'm a little late to the party on this one; I know I've been seeing lots of fellow bloggers reviewing Glossybox's March offer already, but that doesn't mean I've missed the boat. I still want to share my views on the products from this month's box, as everybody has their different opinions don't they?

What's in the box?

This month's theme is "Get Glowing" and Glossybox want to introduce us to a number of products to help us out with giving our winter bodies a much needed boost of radiance.

Luxie Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush 504

I love this brush! Glossybox clearly know bloggers love a bit of rose gold prettiness, and a spot of contouring, and this brush caters to both trends.

Not only is it pretty, but it's functionally effective too. I've used it every day since my box came. It is a perfect match with Mac's Soft and Gentle highlighter. The bristles are super soft and they apply highlighter as a beautifully soft sheen to the tops of cheekbones and down the bride of the nose.

I also think this would work well at blending a contour into the skin, it's lovely and fluffy so seems ideal for that task.

The brush is £10.42 to purchase from Luxie Beauty's website. I think it is reasonably priced when compared with similar from the likes of Real Techniques. I hadn't heard of Luxie before but I'd happily check out their offerings based on this brush.

The only thing I will say is that I probably would've preferred a makeup product rather than accessory; I do already have plenty of brushes and didn't actually need another brush right now.

Olay Regenerist Luminous Skin Tone Perfecting Cream

This is a sample size. This product is designed to fade the look of discolouration on the skin and to deal with dark spots. I don't suffer from these but I do have a bit of a 'thing' about perfecting my skin tone so perhaps this will help.

Honestly, I don't think a sample ever contains enough to notice a huge difference, but we'll see. I haven't used it yet so I'll reserve judgement and let you know how I get on. It ought to be good as the full size is priced at £29.99.

Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum

I switch up my facial serums quite regularly as I tend to use any I've received in subscription boxes or I pick one which is on offer if I am purchasing one. I'm not hugely loyal to a particular one so I'm happy to give this a go.

Hey Honey is a new brand to me, not one I've heard of before. Looking at their website I believe they are based in the US (the prices are in USD).

The clue is in the name; products by Hey Honey use honey and propolis as their fundamental ingredients. They specialise in skincare for face and body.

I'm looking forward to giving the face serum a try and reviewing once I have.

-417 Catharsis Vitamin Mineral Shampoo and Conditioner

Another brand I have never heard of. I like a good matching shampoo and conditioner so I'll enjoy using these. As they are minis, I might save them for travel; I thought I might use them on holiday in May but I think they'll be too small for a two week getaway.

-417 products are made with ingredients from the Dead Sea and can be purchased from their website. This haircare range aims to make hair 'healthy, shiny and glowing'. I rarely see my hair shine (I blame being dark blonde) so we'll see if this little set delivers on that claim.

Collecton Speedy Highlighter

I'm very happy about this item in the box. I have to confess, I am generally a bit rubbish at contouring. I find it hard and I kind of just give up on it. I think I have the wrong kind of face.

But highlighting is something I can do and I love it. There's nothing like getting that glow on your cheekbones, brow bone and nose.

I like to try an array of highlighters and this one from Collection appeals to me as it glides on the skin and seems very 'fuss free'. It's a chunky crayon style and when swatched it blended really well into my skin. It is a beautiful pearly champagne pink shade and I know I'll get lots of use out of it. I think it would also look nice washed across the eyelids for a subtle summery look.

The highlighter is a mere £3.99 which is so affordable, making it a great everyday product.

This is probably my favourite product in the box, with the brush a close second.

Spoiler Alert!
April Sneak Peek - The Body Shop

I was very excited to see a little sneak peek of one of next month's items, including on this month's info card. I normally don't like to spoil the surprise, but as this one is from one of my favourite brands I don't mind knowing.

In April, we will receive The Body Shop's Oils of Life Facial Oil. I'm very excited to try out this product. Roll on April!

All in all I was happy with this month's box. Admittedly, it wasn't one of my favourites as there are a number of items I could live without, but I still think it's a nice little set for the money.

Don't forget you can sign up to Glossybox here using my recommendation link.

Let me know what you thought of this month's box and what your stand-out product was.

    1. Definitely hun! They're such a nice little monthly treat. I wonder of there's one out there filled with vintage/shabby chic treats, now that would be fabulous! X
