A Bit of Glitter and Tulle

Today I'm sharing my Christmas Day look with you - because who doesn't like reminiscing about the glitter and glitz of Christmas on a cold January weekend?!

I've been obsessing over tulle skirts and dresses for quite some time. I have many pinned on Pinterest. And as it was Christmas, and ASOS had a sale, I thought "beggar it, I'm having one."  So I picked up this beauty and I absolutely love it.

I put it with a shiny silver t-shirt from River Island, some very old calf length boots from New Look, and a burgundy Choker also from New Look, and I was good to go clothes-wise.

My husband bought me the most amazing Christmas gift - this STUNNING clutch bag which looks like a book. And not just any book, my favourite "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". He bought it from Etsy, and I absolutely love it. So naturally, it had to come with me on Christmas Day.

For my makeup, I wanted to go full on with the glitter, it being Christmas day 'n all.

I created my eye look using the Morphe 12z 'Zodiac' eye palette, which was a wonderful gift from a friend as part of Secret Santa, and I used Barry M's Fine Body Glitter (in Pink) to give my lids that sparkle. I used Maybelline's Colour Tattoo creme eyeshadow in the rose gold shade to help the glitter adhere to my lids.  Eyeliner was Kat Von D Tattoo liner - I love this stuff! It's so easy to use and I've mastered flicks thanks to this beauty. I can't remember what mascara I used as I'm working through a few samples at the moment.

For brows, I used a combination of Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz and Pomade, both in the shade Taupe, which is the ideal ashy toned blonde to complement my natural hair colour.  I love these two products, I think I have found my Holy Grail brow products.

My base was Too Faced Hangover Primer and Nars Sheer Glow foundation (Mont Blanc) mixed with Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector (Moonstone).  I used Maybelline concealers under my eyes - I love the Eye Eraser, Fit Me and Lumi Touch concealers, and use them interchangeably.  Eye Eraser and Fit Me are great at covering, whilst Lumi Touch is a good light reflector (a great dupe for YSL Touche Ã‰clat). I set my face with Bourjois Poudre de Riz and then used highlighter and blush and I honestly can't remember which two they were!

Lips were Jouer liquid matte lipstick in the shade Lychee.

I really loved creating this glittery, girly, pink look for Christmas and I even got compliments from my family. My grandma, who is in her 80's, even admired my eyebrows and discussed with my how she likes how "they do them these days". Cute!

Hope you've enjoyed a nosy into my wardrobe and a look at my Christmas face, I know it's out of date but I loved this look and wanted to share!
